We’re improving mobile access to http://www.dol.gov/, but we want your help. The federal Chief Information Officer (CIO), Steven VanRoekel, developed the digital government strategy to improve how the federal government purchases and uses information technology while enhancing services provided to the American public. This strategy was developed with input from representatives across the federal government, including the Department of Labor.
There are four primary objectives of the federal CIO’s digital government strategy:
- Enable the American people and an increasingly mobile workforce to access high-quality digital government information and services anytime, anywhere, and on any device.
- Procure and manage devices, applications, and data in smart, secure, and affordableways.
- Unlock the power of government data to spur innovation and improve the quality of services for the public.
- Innovate with less to deliver better digital services.
Digital Government: Building a 21st Century Platform to Better Serve the American People
The first of those objectives is where you, the American public, can help shape our approach. While we work to deliver content and services anytime, anywhere, and on any device, we want to know where you think we should start. What existing Department of Labor website or online service would you like to see optimized for mobile devices first? Please tell us in the comments section below.
