Thursday, June 6, 2019

In unsurprising but important TCPAWorld news today, the FCC has unanimously approved a rule allowing carriers to block calls the carriers identify as potentially unwanted using “reasonable analytics.”

As I explained last week, this is a pretty sizable departure from past practice and will have a big impact on industry groups that rely on outbound calling to survive.

The Unprecedented team will interview Rebekah Johnson– CEO of Numeracle–today about what callers can do to protect themselves in this brave new call-blocking world.

We’ll update this post throughout the day as more information becomes available. Check back often.
