The House of Representatives has passed a bill to delay the effective date of the new overtime rule by six months (from December 1, 2016 to June 1, 2017).  The bill must still pass the Senate and then be signed by the President to become law.  The bill, for a law entitled the “Regulatory Relief for Small Businesses, Schools, and Nonprofits Act” (H.R.6094), must still pass the Senate and then be signed by the President to become law.
