The December 18, 2024, issue of ECHA Weekly includes an item announcing the release of the European Chemicals Agency’s (ECHA) draft Community Rolling Action Plan (CoRAP) update for years 2025-27. The draft update contains 31 substances, including 13 new substances, compared to the current CoRAP 2024-2026; eight substances planned for evaluation in 2025, including two groups of two substances; 15 substances for evaluation in 2026; and five substances for evaluation in 2027. ECHA proposes to withdraw three substances because substance evaluation is currently considered to be a low priority or unnecessary.
ECHA encourages registrants to review the draft list of substances planned for evaluation in 2025 and update their dossiers to include all relevant information before March 2025. The substances are:
- Acrylic acid, monoester with propane-1,2-diol;
- Oligomerization products of beta-pinene;
- Oligomerization products of alpha-pinene and beta-pinene;
- Tris(2-ethylhexyl) phosphate;
- Triethyl phosphate;
- [3-(2,3-epoxypropoxy)propyl]dimethoxy ymethylsilane;
- [3-(2,3-epoxypropoxy)propyl]diethoxy methylsilane; and
- Potassium dicyanoargentate.
ECHA’s Member State Committee is expected to give its opinion on the draft update in February 2025. On the basis of the Committee’s opinion, ECHA intends to adopt and publish the updated CoRAP on March 25, 2025.
