A Womble Bond Dickinson contingent took part in the 2025 International Trademark Association (INTA) Annual Meeting, held May 17-21 in San Diego.
Attending from the U.S. and UK were Sara Bauer, Pete Bromaghim, John Cao, Lori Cohen, Eric Cheong, Jason Chu, Evan Fultz, Amy Galloway, Rose Smalley-Gordon, Erica Halstead, Nick Hawkins, David Jackson, Aaron Johnson, Laura Kees, Channell Khosrowabadi, Karen Kim, Jennifer Kwon, Jacqueline Lendvai, Steve Levitan, James Love, Marie Anne Mastrovito, Michael McCue, Maya Muchemwa, Rachel Nicholas, Kelli Ovies, Seiko Okada, David Plumley, Carrie Richey, Stephanie Riley, Michael Samardzija, Cory Schug, Randy Springer, Flynt Strean, Jennifer Van Kirk, Lester Vincent, Jake Wharton, Drew Wilson, Joy Woller, and Meng Zhong. Erin Orrick, Sabrina Spellman, and Kristen Vetula provided client development support.
The group organized a variety of events for clients, including dinners on Coronado Island, walking tours, and other gatherings. Approximately 400 in-house contacts, clients, and international associates were welcomed to an evening reception on the rooftop with a stunning view of the San Diego Bay and skyline. Guests savored custom cocktails and mocktails with creative names like The Likelihood of Confusion, Trade Dress Code, and Fair Use Fizz.
Laura Kees, Womble’s Trademark, Copyright, Privacy, and IP Transactions Practice Group Co-Leader, took part in a panel discussion on “Mastering Today’s IP Practice Management and Technology”.
In addition, Womble Bond Dickinson Partner Jake Wharton will moderate a breakfast discussion on “The End of Chevron and What It Means for Trademark Practitioners”.
Members of Womble’s Trademarks, Copyrights, Privacy and Transactions Practice Group also held a meeting while in town for INTA.
We have a long-standing relationship with INTA. Beyond our activities during the annual meeting, our Trademark team has been actively involved with INTA for many years. We've hosted roundtables, served on, and chaired several committees, contributed to INTA podcasts.
Every year, more than 10,000 trademark, licensing, and IP professionals from around the world gather for the INTA Annual Meeting.
The 2026 Annual Meeting will be held May 2 - May 6 in London.
