Bradley’s Roy D. Campbell III, a retired partner, has been named the 2024-25 recipient of the Mississippi Bar’s Lifetime Achievement Award. Mr. Campbell was presented with the award at the Mississippi Bar’s annual meeting on July 11.

The Mississippi Bar’s Lifetime Achievement Award is given to an individual who has demonstrated service to the public, profession, and administration of justice over the span of a professional career.

“We are tremendously proud of Roy for this well-deserved recognition by the Mississippi Bar, highlighting his commitment to the practice of law and to upholding the highest standards of professionalism throughout his incredibly accomplished career. We hold him in the highest regard as an attorney, a colleague, and a friend, and congratulate him on this accomplishment,” said Bradley Jackson Office Managing Partner Margaret Oertling Cupples.

A litigation partner at Bradley for more than 20 years, Mr. Campbell retired at the end of 2024 after dedicating his 50-year career to representing clients in civil suits at both the trial and appellate level and serving as lead counsel in over 100 jury trials. He also served as trial counsel for Fortune 100 companies in mass-tort litigation and handled the defense of suits throughout the Southeast and Midwest.

Mr. Campbell is a past president of both the Mississippi Bar and the Capital Area Bar Association (CABA) and was honored with the 2021 CABA Professionalism Award for his service. Mr. Campbell was also a member of the Mississippi Commission on Judicial Performance and the Mississippi Bar’s Professionalism Committee, and is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and of the Mississippi Bar Foundation. He earned his J.D. from the University of Mississippi School of Law and his B.A. from Davidson College.
