NEW YORK AND WASHINGTON, DC – Bracewell LLP partners Nicole Boeckmann and E. Dee Martin took home top honors at the 2025 Women in Business Law Americas Awards held in New York City on June 17. Boeckmann was named North America White Collar Crime Lawyer of the Year, and Martin was named North America Thought Leader of the Year.
A partner in Bracewell’s government enforcement and investigations practice in the New York office, Boeckmann represents companies and individuals in complex criminal, regulatory and civil investigations, drawing on her extensive experience participating in more than 30 trials during her 20-year career at the US Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of New York (EDNY) and the New York County District Attorney’s Office.
Martin, a partner in Washington, DC and co-head of the firm’s Policy Resolution Group, is a noted lobbyist, advocate and thought leader in the fields of energy innovation and women’s equality. She is the founder and host of Bracewell’s award-winning Madam Policy podcast, as well as the founder of the Minute Mentoring® leadership program. In 2024, Martin was instrumental in helping shape energy transition policy related to the proliferation of hydrogen.
Bracewell was a finalist in eight other categories at the 2025 Women in Business Law Americas Awards.
Houston associate Emily Banse was named a finalist for North America Banking & Finance Rising Star, Houston partner Heather Brown was a finalist for North America Banking & Finance Lawyer of the Year, and Austin partner Victoria Ozimek was a finalist for North America Tax Lawyer of the Year.
In addition, Bracewell was a finalist for North America Firm of the Year for Career Development, North America Firm of the Year for Gender Diversity Advocacy, North America Firm of the Year for Pro Bono, North America Firm of the Year for Work-Life Balance, and North America Firm of the Year for Women in Business Law.
