New York, NY - Feb. 18, 2025Eternal Me — a leader in digital estate planning technology — today announced the appointment of digital asset expert and award-winning attorney, Jennifer L. Zegel, as Chief Product Officer. With deep expertise in estate planning and digital assets, Zegel will guide the company’s product vision, design, development, and go-to-market strategies.

While tackling her new position with Eternal Me, Zegel will continue her work as partner and Practice Leader of the Trusts and Estates Group at Kleinbard LLC, a nationally acclaimed Philadelphia-based law firm, for which she was recently recognized in The Best Lawyers in America (2025). Since joining Kleinbard in 2018, Zegel has established herself as a leading voice in estate planning and digital asset administration. She regularly advises clients on how to incorporate cryptocurrency and other digital assets into estate plans or business succession plans while minimizing potential tax liability.

“We couldn’t be more excited to welcome Jennifer to our team. Eternal Me is at a critical inflection point and bringing Jennifer aboard will help us capture our momentum as we scale our estate planning platform,” said Richard Zack, CEO of Eternal Me. “Jennifer’s unparalleled expertise in digital assets will advance our mission to empower estate planners and their clients to seamlessly manage digital assets.”

Beyond her work with Kleinbard, Zegel has co-authored Digital Asset Entanglement: Unraveling the Intersection of Estate Laws & Technology (LexisNexis, 2022 & 2023) and co-created the Digital Planning Podcast, which is now in its seventh Season. Zegel is also a Fellow of The American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC) and a prolific speaker and thought leader, featured in publications such as Forbes, Bloomberg Tax, and The Wall Street Journal.

“I’m honored to join the Eternal Me team and help shape the next chapter in digital estate planning while continuing my work at Kleinbard,” Zegel said. “Crypto and other digital assets have been overlooked in estate planning for too long. And many estate planners have yearned for better solutions to help our clients manage digital assets. Eternal Me has delivered the most comprehensive, easy-to-use digital estate planning solution on the market, and I’m thrilled to help them grow and scale this powerful technology as digital assets play an ever-expanding role in our lives.”

At Eternal Me, Zegel will leverage her expertise to propel growth of the company’s digital estate planning platform at a time when digital assets — everything from crypto wallets, personal records, videos, and social media content to passwords, biometric data, financial information and more — are experiencing explosive growth. A recent survey found that the majority of Americans have up to 250 digital accounts, valued at roughly $191,516, on average. Yet, most of these assets are not properly accounted for in estate plans to ensure they’re preserved and securely transferred.

Eternal Me offers estate planners’ clients a seamless way to create and maintain a comprehensive digital asset schedule that integrates with existing estate plans. This ensures all assets are handled legally and securely, which saves attorneys and their clients hundreds of hours of legal, financial, and administrative work.
