NEW YORK CITY, NY / ACCESS Newswire / May 1, 2025 / Kelly & Associates Insurance Group, Inc. recently disclosed that it suffered a data breach that compromised the sensitive personal and protected health data of individuals. This data breach has led to concerns over the security of sensitive personal and protected health information entrusted to Kelly Benefits.

WHAT'S THIS ABOUT?

On December 12, 2024, Kelly Benefits became aware of suspicious activity within its environment. Upon detection, Kelly Benefits launched an investigation with the assistance of third-party forensic specialists to determine the nature and scope of the activity. The investigation determined that an unauthorized third party gained access to Kelly Benefits' environment between December 12, 2024, and December 17, 2024, and certain files were copied and taken. Kelly Benefits conducted a comprehensive and detailed review of the impacted files to determine what information was compromised and to whom it related. This review was completed on March 3, 2025.

Upon information and belief, the following types of sensitive personal and protected health information may have been compromised: names, Social Security numbers, tax ID numbers, dates of birth, financial account information, medical information, and health insurance information. Kelly Benefits filed a notice with Maine Attorney General's office and began mailing notice letters to the impacted individuals on April 9, 2025. Compensation may be available for those individuals who received notice that their personal information was compromised.
