NEW YORK, NY / ACCESS Newswire / April 30, 2025 / Alternate Solutions Health Network, LLC recently disclosed that it suffered a data breach that compromised the sensitive personal and protected health data of individuals. This data breach has led to concerns over the security of sensitive personal and protected health information entrusted to ASHN.

WHAT'S THIS ABOUT?

On or around May 30, 2024, ASHN detected unauthorized access to one of its internal email accounts. Upon discovery, ASHN immediately secured the compromised account and launched a thorough investigation with the assistance of third-party cybersecurity experts. Following an extensive investigation and manual document review, ASHN determined on February 14, 2025, that certain emails and attachments in the compromised account contained the personal and protected health information of various individuals. The incident was limited to a single email account, but the unauthorized actor had access long enough to potentially acquire sensitive personal data.

Upon information and belief, the following types of sensitive personal and protected health information may have been compromised: name, date of birth, address, driver's license number, physician and clinician names, clinical information, diagnostic and treatment information, Social Security numbers (for a limited number of individuals). On April 14, 2024, ASHN filed a notice with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office for Civil Rights and has stated that they are notifying affected individuals.Compensation may be available for those individuals who received notice that their personal information was compromised.
