The Northwestern University School of Law, located in Chicago, is a private American law school independently founded in 1859 as the Union College of Law. Northwestern enjoys a strong national reputation. The school is currently ranked 11th by the 2011 Edition of the U.S. News and World Report guide to the nation's top law schools.
