2025 Enforcement Outlook | The Trump Administration’s Regulatory Landscape

Webinar, Hosted By McDermott Will & Emery

Thursday, January 9, 2025 - 12:00 PM - Thursday, January 9, 2025 - 1:30 PM

On the eve of the second Trump administration, questions abound as to likely federal and state regulatory enforcement activity and priorities, which will significantly impact companies across all industries. To kick off our 2025 Enforcement Outlook series, experienced practitioners in our white-collar, US Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC) defense, antitrust, and financial institutions practices will provide insights and analysis on what to expect from the Trump administration’s regulatory approach and how to prepare for it.

Our cross-practice team will address the key federal regulators – the Department of Justice (DOJ), Federal Trade Commission (FTC), SEC, Commodity Futures Trading Commission, Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, and banking regulators – as well as the expected approaches of state attorneys general.

Discussion topics will include:

  • Expectations based on the nominees and other projected appointees slated to run each agency
  • Likely agency priorities based on campaign and post-election statements
  • Anticipated interplay between federal agencies and relevant state and local regulators
  • Potential implications for global businesses and sectors from the expected priorities

McDermott’s Enforcement Outlook webinar series is designed to keep you up to date on the enforcement trends that might impact your organization’s compliance strategy. For more materials related to past episodes, visit our Enforcement Outlook Series hub.
