Alexis Chandler is a member of our Public & Infrastructure Finance Practice, where she works with our other practice group members in all areas of municipal finance, including finance for airports, higher education, healthcare and cultural facilities, water and sewer facilities, and multifamily housing.

Prior to joining the firm, Alexis worked at the US Department of State as an intern in the Legislative Affairs Bureau. While at the Department of State, Alexis tracked and analyzed high priority legislation from Congress and its impact on State’s operations. In addition, she helped ensure, from a strategic perspective, that various pieces of legislation were constitutional and complied with the administration’s position on foreign policy.

During law school, Alexis had the opportunity to be a student in a Brexit Seminar following the UK’s vote to leave the EU. She specifically studied the Northern Ireland and Ireland border and its result following Brexit. She is published in Legal Aspects of Brexit: Implications of the United Kingdom’s Decision to Withdraw from the European Union.

In Alexis’ third year of law school, she was a member of the Law Students in Court Clinic, where she represented low-income individuals who faced evictions. Due to her exemplary advocacy, Alexis was awarded the International Academy of Trial Lawyers Student Advocacy Award.
