On February 24, 2017, DigitalGlobe, Inc., a Colorado based satellite imagery data and analysis company, and MacDonald, Dettwiler and Associates Ltd. (“MDA”), a communications and information company based in Canada, announced that they have “entered into a definitive merger agreement, pursuant to which SSL MDA Holdings, the U.S. operating company of MDA, will acquire DigitalGlobe for US$35.00 per share in cash and stock.” (Supplemental Prepared Remarks, DigitalGlobal, EX-99.3, Form 8-K, Feb 24, 2017, SEC Filing.)
