Monday, August 27, 2012

Sears, Roebuck & Co. recalled approximately 800,000 dehumidifiers manufactured by LG Electronics due to fire and burn hazards, as of August 2, 2012. The recall involves 35, 50 and 70-pint dehumidifers with a Kenmore logo on the top of the unit, manufactured between 2003 and 2005. The CPSC determined that the dehumidifiers can overheat, smoke, melt and catch on fire, posing fire and burn hazards to consumers.
