President Trump's executive order temporarily suspends green card seekers from entering the U.S. for 60 days. The order only applies to individuals who are outside of the U.S. and seeking entry as an immigrant (permanent resident/green card holder). The order does not apply to spouses and minor children of U.S. citizens, foreign investors, health care workers, individuals with approved green cards and members of the U.S. Armed Forces. In addition, the order does not apply to individuals who are currently in the U.S. and are seeking a green card/permanent residence through adjustment of status. Nonimmigrant work visas remain unaffected but will be re-evaluated in 30 days.
