Fingerprint Cards AB, which develops, produces and markets biometric technology, reported on February 1, 2017 that it would be “acquiring Delta ID, a leading supplier of iris recognition technology.” (Press Release, Fingerprint Cards Expands its Reach in Biometrics by Acquiring Delta ID, a Leading Supplier of Iris Recognition Technology, Feb. 1, 2017.) According to an investor earnings call with analysts on May 4, 2017, Fingerprint Cards’ CFO stated that the company was “still waiting for CFIUS approval” for the Delta ID acquisition.
