Taylor C. Pancake is a partner and business lawyer with Foley & Lardner LLP. He has experience in a wide variety of corporate law matters, including corporate formation, corporate operations and governance, financings and other contract drafting, review and negotiation, mergers and acquisitions, and capital raising transactions. Mr. Pancake is chair of the firm’s Orlando Corporate Law Department.
Mr. Pancake also has experience representing clients in the senior living industry, where he has experience in mergers and acquisitions, sale and leaseback transactions, lease and management agreements, and financings for multiple REITs, private owners, operators, managers, and developers in connection with hundreds of senior living facilities. Mr. Pancake is co-chair of the firm’s Senior Living Industry Team.
Mr. Pancake is a member of the firm’s Transactional & Securities Practice as well as a member of the Health Care Industry Team. He is also chair of the firm’s Veterans Affinity Group.
Education
Mr. Pancake earned his J.D., cum laude, from the University of Florida Levin College of Law in 2005, where he was notes and comments editor and board member of the Florida Law Review, a member of Phi Delta Phi, and was selected for membership to the Order of the Coif. He received his bachelor’s degree in English, with business emphasis, from Florida State University in 2000.
Community Engagement
Mr. Pancake is and has been active in various community organizations in the Central Florida area, including Starter Studio, the Brevard Zoo, and Kick Off for Kids Orlando.
He is the former chairman of the Seminole County Port Authority and is presently a member of the Port Authority board.
Mr. Pancake is a graduate of Leadership Orlando, Class 94.
Affiliations
A former United States Marine Corps Reservist, Mr. Pancake also served in Iraq and Kuwait in 2003 in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
