Rico Falsone focuses his practice on cybersecurity, energy and construction matters. A trilingual attorney and security professional, Rico has led high-powered teams focused on cybersecurity, supply chain security, insider risks and internal investigations, business continuity, crisis management and incident response. As a former chief security officer for the world’s largest law firm, Rico oversaw much of the firm’s corporate governance and provided day-to-day oversight over these disciplines.
Prior to private practice, Rico worked for the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) as an attorney and Supervisory Special Agent for over two decades. His roles included Deputy Chief Counsel to the Director of the FBI’s Terrorist Screening Center, where he supervised a team of attorneys and legal support staff advising on issues spanning the terrorist watchlist, the No-Fly List, national security law and policy, information sharing, privacy, civil liberties, employment and legislative matters. While the Assistant Legal Attaché assigned to the U.S. Embassy in Paris, France, Rico also oversaw the FBI’s Cyber and Counterintelligence programs in France and Monaco.
His extensive experience also includes providing advice with sanctions compliance and creating risk management policies and procedures for the U.S. Intelligence Community to assess and mitigate the risks posed by foreign entities who attempt to compromise the digital supply chains of government and private industry. Other key accomplishments include drafting the Federal Acquisition Security Council’s supply chain risk management evaluation factors and criteria.
Prior to working for the FBI, Rico was an attorney in private practice specializing in commercial transactions, commercial litigation and bankruptcy.
