Natasha Eckard Hammond

Professional Biography

Natasha “Tash” Eckard Hammond is a member of the firm’s Transportation, Infrastructure and Local Government Public Policy Practice. Utilizing her in-depth knowledge and longtime policy experience working in both congressional and leadership offices on Capitol Hill, Tash will advise clients on pertinent policy issues in several areas, including transportation and agriculture.

Prior to joining Squire Patton Boggs, Tash served as a Policy Assistant to former US Speaker of the House John Boehner (R-OH) and was an integral member of the Speaker’s legislative staff from 2006-2015.

In the Speaker’s office, Tash developed and coordinated legislative strategies with a particular emphasis on transportation and agriculture. She was heavily involved in the 2014 Farm Bill over the two and a half years of its passage through Congress, successfully advocating the Speaker’s views over aspects of the bill. She previously served in Speaker Boehner’s congressional office as Legislative Director and oversaw several policy issues.
