Professional Biography

Misha’s practice focuses on air quality and natural resources law. With a background in environmental policy and regulation, she assists clients with their regulatory, compliance, and enforcement needs.

Misha provides environmental regulatory advice, compliance counseling, and enforcement defense in support of her client’s business goals and operational objectives. She has over eight years of experience in California environmental laws with a primary focus on air quality and climate change. She represents clients across industry sectors, including utilities, oil and gas, renewables, manufacturing and development, and related trade associations and industry coalitions.

Misha utilizes her background working with state and federal agencies to develop strategic solutions. In California, Misha worked as an Assistant Counsel and Rule Developer with the Bay Area Air Quality Management District representing the agency in civil enforcement cases and assisting with the development of agency rules and regulations related to stationary sources of air pollution. She also previously worked as a Legal Fellow with the State of Hawaii’s Department of Land and Natural Resources – Division of Conservation and Resources Enforcement and as a General Counsel Legal Extern with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.

Misha has a well-rounded knowledge of environmental law and policy, including the Clean Air Act, California Regional Air Pollution Control District regulations, California Environmental Quality Act, Endangered Species Act, and related state law. She attended the University of Washington School of Law, where she focused on environmental law and policy, preceded by a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science.
