Mark Hancock is an associate in the Litigation Practice Group in the firm’s Madison office. He has litigated numerous complex commercial disputes in federal and state courts throughout the country, and in doing so he has addressed a wide variety of substantive legal areas, including contracts, business torts, insurance, bankruptcy, and intellectual property. Mark is also active in the firm’s pro bono practice.
Prior to joining Godfrey & Kahn, Mark clerked for the Honorable Barry G. Silverman of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and the Honorable Philip P. Simon of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Indiana. Mark started his legal career at a law firm in Chicago.
Before starting his career in law, Mark worked at the Harvard School of Public Health and taught English and Film Studies at a high school in San Francisco.
