M. Benjamin Machlis provides strategic counsel to clients in a variety of industries on environmental matters including permitting, compliance, administrative appeals, and litigation. In addition, he has appeared on behalf of clients before state and federal administrative agencies and courts. He has significant experience advising oil, gas, and mining clients on issues related to solid and hazardous waste regulations, pipeline and hazardous material transport regulations, right-to-know laws, toxic substance regulations, water quality regulations, and contaminated property remediation.
Mr. Machlis also advises clients on issues arising under the Federal Power Act, the Natural Gas Act, state and federal public records laws, food labeling regulations, local land use regulations, and real estate transactions.
