Edward Silverman is a second-year student at Pepperdine University School of Law. He is a Juris Doctor and Straus Institute Master of Dispute Resolution candidate. Originally from the Philadelphia area, Edward attended Lehigh University, where he majored in English and History, and graduated summa cum laude. At Lehigh, Edward was a member of the wrestling team, which finished as high as third in the country, Division I, during his time there are a student-athlete.
Currently, Edward is a member of the Pepperdine Law Review and the Trial Team. He has also competed for Pepperdine Law as a member of the Mediation Competition Team, which recently finished third in the 2013 ABA Advocacy in Mediation Regional Competition, hosted by UC Berkeley School of Law.
Edward’s additional published works include Dick Woodson’s Revenge: The Evolution of Salary Arbitration in Major League Baseball. He also recently completed a comment for the Pepperdine Law Review, entitled “Crossing Bus C” with the FAMU Marching “100”: How Robert Champion’s Death Is Going to Change Hazing Jurisprudence Forever, which is pending publication.
