Mr. Varughese concentrates his practice on patent litigation with a special emphasis on pharmaceutical patent litigation under the Hatch Waxman Act. 

Mr. Varughese has litigated cases involving a broad range of technologies in the pharmaceutical and biotechnological arts, including controlled-release polymers, hypoglycemic treatments, antilipidemic treatments, antimalarials, nutritional supplements, microfluidics, and in vivo imaging.  His experience includes pre-filing investigations, discovery, expert witness preparation, Markman proceedings, dispositive motions, and trial.  He also has experience in reexamination proceedings co-pending with district court actions.
