Mr. Bennett is a trial attorney who represents clients to resolve complex contract and business disputes. His practice focuses on efficiently resolving disputes involving partnerships, limited liability companies, complex insurance matters, and trade secret issues. He also regularly represents employers in court and before state and federal agencies to resolve claims of discrimination, retaliation, and wrongful discharge. Mr. Bennett has handled matters throughout the state of Idaho, regionally, and nationally, and has tried complex cases to juries in both state and federal courts. He is experienced in resolving matters through various forms of alternative dispute resolution, including arbitration, mediation, and informal settlement negotiations between counsel. In addition, Mr. Bennett has successfully represented clients in antitrust, bankruptcy, business torts, and other complex matters.
Mr. Bennett regularly writes and speaks on complex commercial litigation and management-side employment matters. He is an author of Holland & Hart's Idaho Employment Law Blog “Employers' Lawyers.”
Mr. Bennett previously served as a Law Clerk Extern for the Honorable Mikel H. Williams of the United States District Court for the District of Idaho. He also served as a Law Clerk for the Honorable Stephen S. Trott of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Mr. Bennett is admitted to practice in the state of Idaho, the United States District Court for the District of Idaho, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
