Austin Rogers is an associate in Babst Calland’s Litigation Group. Mr. Rogers practices in a variety of litigation practice areas, including commercial, employment and labor, environmental, and energy and natural resources.
Background
Mr. Rogers graduated from Old Dominion University with a B.S. in Political Science and a B.S. in Criminal Justice in 2017. He received his J.D. from the West Virginia University College of Law in 2020, where he served as the Executive Article Selection and Symposium Editor of the West Virginia Law Review and the President of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Society. While in law school, Mr. Rogers participated in the Land Use and Sustainable Development Clinic, the United States Supreme Court Clinic, and the General Litigation Clinic. Prior to joining Babst Calland, he worked as a staff attorney for the Public Service Commission of West Virginia, representing the Commission’s Staff in administrative hearings regarding utility regulation.
Memberships and Affiliations
Mr. Rogers is admitted to the West Virginia Bar, the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of West Virginia, and the U.S. Bankruptcy Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of West Virginia. He is actively involved in the Defense Trial Counsel of West Virginia, the Energy and Mineral Law Foundation, and the Gas and Oil Association of West Virginia (GO-WV). He is also a board member of the Kanawha County section of Read Aloud West Virginia, and a member of the American Association of Airport Executives, Airports Council International – North America, and the West Virginia Airport Managers Association.
