April Knight focuses her practice on climate policy, environmental law, and litigation and investigations.
During law school, April was a summer associate with the firm as well as clerking for a semester. Her experience includes supporting attorneys on hydro, cybersecurity, and litigation matters. In addition to serving as a summer associate at the firm, April gained experience working for federal judicial and legislative bodies. At the U.S. Senate, she was a law clerk for Senator Amy Klobuchar (D-MN), supporting the senator’s Judiciary Committee attorneys in reviewing legislation, drafting vote recommendations, and preparing documents for Judiciary Committee hearings. April also served as a judicial intern for Judge Rudolph Contreras at the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, where she drafted judicial opinions and memoranda on various civil cases.
April is committed to promoting diversity in the legal profession. During law school, she served as Private Sector Chair for the Georgetown Asian Pacific American Law Students Association. April also was an online development editor for the American Criminal Law Review, the nation’s premier criminal law journal, publishing and editing for the law journal’s online platform.
April's community involvement included supporting the Humane Society of St. Thomas and the nonprofit organization My Brother's Keeper.
