Chris Jenny is a Shareholder and Chairs the Business Practice Group. Chris focuses his practice on representing business owners to become more profitable while minimizing their risk and expenses. Chris’s practice has a heavy concentration in the real estate, construction, and information technology industries where he represents contractors, suppliers, landlords, tenants and real estate developers with a wide variety of transactional matters. Chris’s construction clients have relied on him for assistance with a wide variety of issues including contract drafting, construction disputes, financing, real estate development, and collections. He is Chair of the firm’s Real Estate Acquisition and Sale Section and is recognized by The Best Lawyers in America® in Real Estate Law (2020-2022). Chris also represents a large number of national and local landlords and tenants in their lease negotiations and is the co-Chair of the firm’s Retail Real Estate Section.
Chris is the current President and a member of the Board of Directors for NARI Madison Wisconsin Chapter and was recognized by The Wisconsin Law Journal as one of the Top Construction Lawyers in Wisconsin. He was listed on Wisconsin Rising Stars (2007-2010, 2012) in Business/Corporate Law. Chris is a frequent speaker and author on a wide variety of topics and his presentations include multiple continuing education seminars.
During his free time, Chris enjoys golfing, attending sporting events, and camping with his family. In addition, Chris is a high school varsity basketball coach and a WIAA licensed official in basketball.
