Swiss Re Corporate Solutions and Wickard today announced a new offering focused on helping law firms understand and manage the professional, ethical, and liability risks associated with artificial intelligence.

The collaboration will combine Swiss Re Corporate Solutions’ risk-management and professional liability focus with Wickard’s legal AI education and training work to provide practical programming for law firms navigating the accelerating adoption of generative AI and other emerging technologies.

AI is increasingly being incorporated into legal research, drafting, client service, knowledge management, and other law firm workflows. At the same time, its use raises significant questions involving attorney supervision, confidentiality, professional judgment, internal governance, and malpractice exposure.

The Swiss Re Corporate Solutions and Wickard collaboration will focus on giving law firms practical guidance for addressing those risks while continuing to take advantage of the benefits of responsible AI adoption.

The initiative will launch with a webinar, “AI Risk Management for Law Firms: Professional Responsibility, Malpractice Exposure, and Practical Safeguards,” on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. ET. The registration link is accessible here.

Presented by Swiss Re Corporate Solutions and Wickard, the program will address key AI-related risks facing law firms, including:

• professional responsibility and attorney supervision;
• protection of confidential and privileged information;
• verification of AI-generated legal research and work product;
• hallucinated or inaccurate AI outputs;
• development of internal AI policies and approval processes; and
• practical safeguards for reducing professional liability exposure.

The webinar will be available free of charge to lawyers and law firms, and may qualify for a premium reduction. Attorneys seeking CLE credit will also be able to access the program through Wickard’s CLE partner, Cerifi LegalEdge.

Additional educational programming and resources developed through the Swiss Re Corporate Solutions and Wickard collaboration are expected to follow.
