As of March 13, 2020, the WHO has reported 132,758 confirmed cases of COVID-19 globally, with 7,499 new cases since the previous report on March 12. There have been 4,955 deaths, with 342 new deaths since the previous report.

Additional Travel Information:

On March 11, President Trump announced a 30-day travel ban barring foreign nationals traveling from Europe to the U.S., with the exception of Britain and Ireland. The order does not prohibit the travel of legal permanent U.S. residents and the immediate family members of U.S. citizens.

The Italian government has issued a mandatory quarantine for the entire country that took effect Tuesday, March 10 and will last until at least April 3.

Starting Thursday, March 12, Israel is requiring a 14-day quarantine for anyone entering the country. Foreign nationals who are unable to self-quarantine will be refused entry to the country.

Today, President Trump officially declared a national emergency, which opens up access to $50 billion for states and localities. As part of the emergency funding, states are required to set up emergency operation centers, and hospitals are required to activate their emergency preparedness plans.
