Managing Wage and Hour Risks to Avoid Being the Target of the Next Class Action
Conference Hosted By Epstein Becker & Green, P.C.
Date: Thu, Jul 30, 2026- 11:00 AM
Kathleen Barrett and Paul DeCamp, Members of the Firm, co-present "Managing Wage and Hour Risks to Avoid Being the Target of the Next Class Action," a CLE luncheon hosted by ACC Chicago and sponsored by Epstein Becker Green.
The session features a conversation on the new litigation environment for wage and hour claims. Attendees will learn about the current litigation environment for wage and hour claims: what claims the plaintiffs' bar are looking for, how they build their case, the impact of artificial intelligence, and what companies can do today to protect their businesses and leverage their data.
Paul and Kathleen, who in 2024 persuaded the Fifth Circuit to invalidate a Department of Labor regulation, will address the latest in the standards courts apply when considering FLSA collective actions, the evolving law of personal jurisdiction for nationwide FLSA cases, and the emergence of arbitration agreements as an important risk mitigation measure. They will also cover federal wage and hour enforcement priorities in the second Trump administration.
