Thomas "Tom" Bennerotte

Thomas "Tom" Bennerotte

Professional Biography

Tom Bennerotte is the owner and founding partner of Bennerotte & Associates, P.A., where he has dedicated his entire career to personal injury law. He has helped thousands of people in Minnesota and across the United States with injuries arising from medical malpractice, dog bites, animal attacks, slip and falls, and car, motorcycle, and trucking accidents.

Tom's path to becoming a plaintiff's attorney began on the other side. In 1991, he started his career as a claims adjuster at St. Paul Companies, giving him valuable insight into how insurance companies evaluate and handle claims. He went on to work as a law clerk and associate attorney at Robins, Kaplan, Miller & Ciresi before opening his own practice.

Born and raised in southern Minnesota, Tom earned his Bachelor of Business Administration with a finance emphasis from the University of Wisconsin–Eau Claire, graduating with honors. He attended William Mitchell College of Law, graduating cum laude while working full-time as a law clerk.

Tom is licensed to practice in Minnesota and North Dakota and is admitted to the Minnesota Federal District Court. He is an active member of the Minnesota Association for Justice and Mothers Against Drunk Driving.

Almost all of the firm's new cases come from referrals—from other practicing attorneys, doctors, friends, or past clients—which speaks to the type of lawyer Tom is and the reputation his firm has built.

His work has earned consistent recognition from his peers. Tom has been named a Super Lawyer and was recognized as an Up-and-Coming Attorney in 2002. He is a member of the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum, The National Trial Lawyers Top 100, America's Top 100 High Stakes Litigators, Best Attorneys of America, and NAOPIA Top Ten Attorney.
