Before joining the firm, Susan spent more than two decades working at leading law firms and in-house at large and small technology companies working alongside business partners to manage legal and reputational risk.
Known for her proactive and business-focused approach, Susan works closely with clients to understand strategic objectives, identify compliance gaps, develop best practices, and implement robust risk management frameworks. She keeps an eye on what moves the needle for her clients and is passionate about helping organizations responsibly adopt emerging technologies.
Susan helps companies build responsible AI governance frameworks, translates state privacy laws into actionable compliance roadmaps, and drafts and negotiates technology transactions, data agreements and commercial contracts. Susan counsels clients on all aspects of the product lifecycle from advertising campaigns, complying with state and federal consumer retail requirements, incorporating AI into customer service, and handling complex commercial disputes, including matters involving competitors and regulators.
She has represented clients in high-stakes investigations and regulatory inquiries before federal and state agencies, including the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), and state Attorneys General. She also has experience before the National Advertising Division (NAD) of the Better Business Bureau (BBB), as well as litigation experience in both federal and state courts.
