Stacy W. Thomsen is a member of DarrowEverett’s Business Litigation & Alternative Dispute Resolution and Labor & Employment Practice Groups. She advises and represents clients in complex commercial disputes, statutory privacy actions, and employment-related litigation across a range of industries.
Stacy has developed a significant focus on privacy litigation involving the California Invasion of Privacy Act (CIPA) and the federal Electronic Communications Privacy Act of 1986 (ECPA), handling more than 60 such matters in 2025 alone. She regularly counsels businesses on strategies to mitigate CIPA and ECPA exposure related to website tracking technologies such as session replay, chat widgets, tracking pixels, and analytics integrations.
In addition to her privacy work, Stacy maintains a robust labor and employment practice. She represents employees and defends employers in matters involving wage and hour compliance (including FLSA and state law claims), discrimination and harassment allegations, and employment contract disputes. She also guides employers through Department of Labor audits, internal investigations, and the implementation of compliant employment policies and procedures.
