He advises investor-owned utilities, data centers, power generation companies, tax equity investors, electric cooperatives, and large load customers in ERCOT, MISO, PJM, SPP, and before state regulatory commissions nationwide, including the Public Utility Commission of Texas. He also counsels clients on power supply agreements, electric interconnections, behind-the-meter arrangements, and regulatory compliance in complex commercial transactions.
Michael has advised clients on interconnection and electric supply agreements totaling more than 5 GW, obtained state regulatory approvals for electric infrastructure projects worth billions of dollars, and advised on securitization financings approaching $2 billion. Michael is equally adept in the courtroom where he has litigated some of the highest profile electric power-related matters of the last decade.
