Luke Taeschler is a partner in the Antitrust and Competition Practice Group in the firm’s New York office. He is also a member of the firm’s Litigation and Regulatory practices.
Luke focuses his practice on antitrust and competition matters across all stages of the enforcement and litigation lifecycle. He represents clients before the Federal Trade Commission (“FTC”) and the U.S. Department of Justice (“DOJ”) in merger reviews, government investigations, and civil and criminal antitrust proceedings. He also advises clients on antitrust compliance and provides counseling on complex transactions and business arrangements.
Prior to joining the firm, Luke served as a trial attorney in the FTC’s Bureau of Competition, where he investigated horizontal and vertical mergers and a range of exclusionary conduct matters. In that role, he led Section 2 investigations involving exclusive dealing, serial acquisitions, steering, rebating, and bundling, providing him with an enforcement-side perspective on how regulators evaluate competition issues.
Luke’s practice spans a wide range of industries, including healthcare, technology, sports, pharmaceuticals, financial services, automotive, and optical markets. He has significant experience handling high-stakes class actions, competitor litigation, and merger challenges, including matters involving Section 1, Section 2, and Section 7 claims under the federal antitrust laws.
