John Alday is a personal injury attorney who has tried innumerable cases to verdict throughout Georgia and recovered millions of dollars on behalf of injured clients. He has argued before the Georgia Court of Appeals multiple times and has served as a legal expert in personal injury cases.
John's path to plaintiff's work came after years on the defense side. He began his legal career as a Staff Attorney for former Cobb County State Court Chief Judge Toby B. Prodgers. He then worked as an associate and later became a partner at a premiere private defense firm, representing one of the largest insurers in the country. That experience gave him valuable insight into how insurance companies evaluate and defend claims—knowledge he now uses to advocate for people who have been injured.
John graduated summa cum laude and as valedictorian from Berry College. He earned a Master of Arts degree from Georgia Southern University before attending the University of Georgia School of Law, where he graduated cum laude and served as Executive Notes Editor of the Georgia Journal of International and Comparative Law. He is also certified as a Georgia mediator.
His work has earned recognition from his peers. John has been named a Super Lawyer every year since 2021.
A Cobb County resident for almost 30 years, John is deeply involved in the community. He serves as a Court-Appointed Special Advocate volunteer with the Cobb County Juvenile Court, coaches the Marietta High School Mock Trial team, and sits on the advisory board for the Earl & Rachel Smith Strand Theater and the board at The Extension. Through Johnson & Alday's annual charity concerts, he has helped raise thousands of dollars for local charities. He is a member of Leadership Cobb 2024 and was the 2024 winner of Marietta's Dancing With The Stars. He also plays guitar—poorly, by his own admission.
John lives in Marietta with his wife and daughter.
