Christopher J. Sullivan is an intellectual property and business attorney at Ritter Law PLLC. Chris counsels both emerging entrepreneurs and established businesses in various transactional matters—including entity formation and organization; contract review, drafting, and negotiation; sales and financings; and beyond.
Chris specializes in intellectual property law, with a particular focus in trademark and copyright, both subjects in which he graduated law school with top honors and was recognized with the Faculty Award for Excellence in Intellectual Property. He regularly assists clients in registering, licensing, and otherwise protecting their valuable brands, creations, and proprietary knowledge.
Chris has also established himself as a leading voice in Virginia on the implementation of artificial intelligence (AI) into legal practice, hosting multiple continuing legal education programs on the subject. He developed one of the first ever law school courses introducing AI to law students at the University of Richmond School of Law, which he has been teaching for the past several years. Chris is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Analytics at the Georgia Institute of Technology, to further his expertise in the intersection of law and emerging technology.
Chris attended the University of Richmond as both an undergraduate and law student. As the latter, he served as the Editor-in-Chief of Volume 56 of the University of Richmond Law Review."
