Avi Zagelbaum

Professional Biography

Avi Zagelbaum is an associate at Holtzman Vogel and focuses his practice on political and election law compliance, corporate compliance, and non-profit and tax-exempt organizations.

Prior to joining the firm, Avi was an mergers and acquisitions tax associate at a big four accounting firm where he conducted tax due diligence and offered post-acquisition structuring advice for M&A deals, prepared private letter rulings for the IRS, and drafted tax opinions for clients.

During law school, Avi served as a law clerk at the Republican National Committee (RNC) where he researched election law issues including ballot eligibility requirements to support the RNC's preparation for the 2024 nominating convention and general election.

In addition to his experience at the RNC, Avi gained valuable experience working on a wide range of litigation and regulatory matters at the U.S. Department of Justice Tax Division, Securities and Exchange Commission, and the Kings County District Attorney's Office.
