He has more than 23 years of experience in economic consulting, with expertise in securities class actions, market efficiency, price impact, loss causation, damages, valuation, structured finance, market manipulation, and complex corporate disputes.
Before founding SLE Consultants, he was a Principal Consultant at Charles River Associates, where he advised clients across financial services, pharmaceuticals, telecommunications, energy, REITs, private equity, and other industries.
Assen combines litigation-tested economic expertise with hands-on technical capabilities in AI, machine learning, econometrics, data science, and software development. He holds ABD/PhD training in Finance and Applied Econometrics and an M.S. in Applied Economics from the University of Rochester, and has taught PhD-level mathematical economics and MBA-level statistics and analytics.
