Anastasia Dodd is a registered patent attorney who focuses on a variety of intellectual property issues, including patent preparation and prosecution, open-source software licensing and risk analysis, and client counseling. Anastasia uses her technical background and patent experience to protect electrical and software innovations.
Anastasia’s patent prosecution practice encompasses the drafting and prosecution of patent applications in areas such as:
- analog and digital circuits, including CMOS and GaN devices;
- semiconductor processing and packaging;
- radar and LIDAR imaging systems for automotive implementations;
- augmented and virtual reality systems; and
- software, ranging from image processing to malware identification to machine learning.
She has counseled clients on the use of open-source software in both commercial products and internal software systems. She has also advised clients on the development of open-source software policies and processes for updating license files.
Anastasia combines her law firm experience with her past experience as in-house counsel at a semiconductor design and manufacturing company. She uses those experiences to navigate wholistic business objectives and the unique operational challenges of her clients’ patent programs.
Anastasia earned her B.S. in Electrical Engineering, with a concentration on photonics and nanoengineering, from Rice University and her J.D. from the University of Houston Law Center. She recently completed her Master of Laws, with a specialization in Privacy Law and Cybersecurity, from the University of Southern California, Gould School of Law.
