Alexandria Serra

Professional Biography
Alexandria Serra is a Visiting Associate Professor at the University of Missouri–Kansas City School of Law and Adjunct Professor at Stetson University College of Law. She teaches trial advocacy, appellate advocacy, and law practice management. She also coaches nationally recognized mock trial teams, including the 2025 National Military Trial Competition champions.
 
A former criminal defense attorney with a decade of courtroom practice, Professor Serra bridges the gap between real-world litigation and legal education. She holds a J.D./M.B.A. and is a registered patent attorney with a background building successful ventures across multiple industries.
 
Professor Serra writes and speaks at the intersection of artificial intelligence, advocacy, and constitutional criminal procedure. Her work examines how emerging technologies are reshaping litigation, defense work, and courtroom decision-making, with particular attention to due process implications. She has published in leading law reviews and won the 2025 Stetson National Advocacy Writing Competition. She regularly presents at conferences and conducts CLEs nationwide on AI-assisted advocacy and trial skills training, drawing on her experience developing over 15 custom AI tools for education and practice. She is currently completing a book for the National Institute for Trial Advocacy on AI applications for litigators.
