The European Commission (EC) recently confirmed that the implementation deadline for the transposition of the EU Pay Transparency Directive (Directive (EU) 2023/970) will be unchanged despite fears that some EU member states may experience delays. The EC issued its written response in answer to a question posed by a member of Parliament in late October 2025.

It expects all Member States to implement the directive by the deadline of June 2026.” The full implications of potential postponement are currently unclear, and the Netherlands has not yet responded to the EC’s announcement.
